Hi! I’m Shannon Johnson

Founder of Stand Out and Get Hired, Inc., and a Success Mentor.

On January 2, 2016, my vision of “Stand Out and Get Hired” came to life because of a highly accomplished young woman named Melissa who had just graduated from college. Melissa is the young woman, who you see highlighted on the front page of my website.

The day we met, we talked about her future career aspirations and she wasn’t sure where her life was headed after college. This was the very day that I started my relentless pursuit to help people like Melissa to shift from uncertainty to excitement about their next chapter in life!

I’m ready, are you?

When I met Melissa that day, it was a breakthrough moment for me. It became an obvious reality to me that there is still a huge need to HELP GUIDE COLLEGE STUDENTS through the transition from campus life to the “real world”. This time of life can be overwhelming for the entire family and even for the most accomplished, confident college graduate.

I was in the same shoes as Melissa 25 years ago. I went to the same college as my dad and majored in Marketing at LaSalle University in Philadelphia. I graduated and joined the corporate world. I felt awkward and UNSURE OF THE FUTURE. It feels like yesterday when I put on that black business suit and high heels to go to work.

I worked for leading Fortune 500 Companies such as Strawbridge & Clothier, Ann Taylor, Robert Half, Int’l, Movado Group, and Pfizer where I held positions in marketing, management, and sales.

After being in the corporate world for 25 years, I started my mentoring business because I found my calling and purpose. I became so committed and obsessed with (in the best way possible) to help college students TRANSITION CONFIDENTLY FROM COLLEGE LIFE TO CAREER LIFE, so they can take action on aligning themselves to the job they love, based on their unique qualities to find their purpose, as I have.

I know helping Melissa and others like her is what I am meant to do, so I learned everything possible to start my own mentoring business. I aligned myself with successful entrepreneurs and influencers as well as INVESTED IN MY OWN TRAINING.

Then I immersed myself in college students challenges and career prep obstacles. I even did a beta test with students and recent grads to learn what they needed the most. Based on that, I began developing a curriculum which is now known as the 3 PILLARS TO SUCCESS.

I essentially have taken EVERYTHING I KNOW and have learned from my corporate career to develop this valuable and life-changing course for all of you.

  • Confidence in who I am
  • Strong connections
  • Networking abilities
  • Experience preparing for interviews
  • Positive ways to beat the competition

I know everything is possible when you believe in YOURSELF first and take action!

I am here to help you prepare for the right career path after you graduate college and get your degree.

So many college graduates, I know say they wished they had taken more time to prepare for their career rather than waiting until after graduation to figure things out. I know, you’re probably saying, “well, I’m super busy…I have school, my social life, and extracurricular activities, when would I have time to plan for my future?”

But the truth is, the competition is so steep, and there are a ton of people going after that same position as you are…so what are you going to do?

Prepare yourself to Stand Out and Get Hired
